Today I want to share a special project I recently worked on for Raíces Boutique Artesanal, a local brand dedicated to selling traditional handmade clothing for all ages.
The challenge was big, and every stage of the process required creative solutions that combined artificial intelligence, digital marketing, and professional design.
1. The Initial Challenge: Photography and Copyright Risks
The client shared an important story with me: in the past, she had received a sanction for using product images that were protected by copyright. Even though it didn’t escalate, it was an experience she never wanted to repeat.
The problem was that, to showcase her dresses, she couldn’t always count on available models—and especially not girls, who are the target audience for her designs. This made organizing sessions complicated, time-consuming, and stressful.
My proposal was innovative yet practical: use her product photos as references to generate AI-based models.
That way, she could have fresh, professional-looking content for her social media campaigns—completely free of legal risks.
(Here I’d show some of the results, but not the original references… because I don’t want copyright issues either 😅).
This solved her first big hurdle: having usable, safe, and attractive content without depending on models or risking third-party rights.
2. The Lost Logo: Vectorization with AI
The next challenge was the brand’s logo.
She explained that she had lost her vector file after a technical mishap, and only had a low-quality rasterized version left.
To fix this, I carried out a vectorization process using manual refinement, restoring her logo in a scalable format.
Now, she has a clean version that can be applied to any medium or size without losing quality, crucial for both print and digital.
3. Social Media Reels Strategy
With images and logo ready, we moved to the next stage: reels for social media promotion.
The client wanted something simple, saying her previous videos were “basic” and not too flashy. Still, I suggested a double approach:
- A simple version, aligned with what she was used to.
- A professional version, where I applied my expertise in digital marketing, engagement, and social media virality trends.
For the pro version, I focused on:
- SEO optimization for video captions and tags.
- Retention and CTA strategies.
- AI-aware compression for paid reach.
- Motion graphics in rotoscoping style to add dynamism in the first 3–5 seconds.
This is key because while a logo animation at the very start can lead viewers to scroll away, showcasing the product immediately with subtle movement boosts retention and improves algorithmic reach.
To add originality, we created a custom jingle in mariachi style 🎶.
This achieved several goals:
- Emotional connection with the audience (mariachi = Mexican heritage).
- Alignment with the product’s launch for the patriotic season in Mexico.
- Boosting originality so that platforms’ AI recognizes it as unique content.
The end result was two videos:
- One simple and familiar.
- One dynamic, engaging, and designed to sell—featuring text overlays, motion graphics, and a clear CTA: “Buy your dress today.”
4. Banner & Stand Designs for Printing
Finally, the client asked me to design large-format banners for her display stands.
She provided cellphone pictures of her stands as reference, along with photos of adult models wearing her dresses. I worked on:
- Adapting the design to precise dimensions (77 x 177 cm).
- Adding 3 cm margins on each side (final size 83 x 183 cm) to allow folding without losing key visuals.
- Marking eyelet placements for the print shop.
- Retouching the photos, removing wrinkles from fabrics, stylizing the models’ figures, and enhancing skin naturally.
This ensured the banners would be ready to print and mount without delays, saving her both time and headaches.
Conclusion
This project with Raíces Boutique Artesanal is a clear example of how a local business can thrive by integrating:
- AI solutions to save costs and time.
- Smart digital marketing to increase reach and engagement.
- Professional design to guarantee consistent, high-quality visuals.
The result: a satisfied client, with social media content that sells, a brand identity recovered, and banners ready for physical presence.
Most importantly, it proves that with creativity and technique, small businesses can scale their image and impact without sacrificing quality.
